Education & Workshops Services
Supportive Futures Foundation’s Education & Workshops program empowers community members with practical life skills, career knowledge, and personal growth opportunities to foster lasting self-sufficiency. We assist individuals through monthly educational workshops, English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, financial literacy training, notary services, and direct pathways to apprenticeship and internship programs.
Our team works directly with clients to build vital competencies, strengthen language ability, and open doors to expanded academic and professional pathways. By taking a whole-person approach to skill development, we ensure you have the interactive learning tools, community connections, and ongoing mentorship needed to unlock your full potential.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to be enrolled in Medicaid to attend workshops or classes?
While many of our programs are funded through the New York State Social Care Network (SCN) for Medicaid-eligible community members, several of our community workshops, ESL classes, and notary services are open to the general public. Contact our team to check program-specific eligibility.
Are the workshops and educational programs free of charge?
Yes. All workshops, educational seminars, ESL sessions, and document navigation services offered by Supportive Futures Foundation are completely free for qualified participants, with no out-of-pocket costs.
How do I sign up for an upcoming workshop or ESL class?
You can register online through our website’s events calendar, call our main intake line, or visit our office in person. Once registered, a learning coordinator will follow up to confirm your spot and provide any necessary materials.
Will I receive a certificate after completing a training program or workshop?
Yes. Participants who complete multi-session training programs, such as our financial literacy series or specialized vocational skills pathways, receive a certificate of completion to help build their resume and demonstrate progress.
What should I bring to my first workshop or notary appointment?
For general workshops, just bring a notebook and an open mind. If you are attending for official document notary services or specialized intake, please bring a valid government-issued photo ID and any relevant unsigned paperwork.
Eligibility and service approval for Education & Workshops Services are subject to New York State Social Care Network (SCN) standards and regional SCN guidelines. Services depend on program criteria, required documentation, formal authorization, available capacity, and non-duplication of existing educational or social care benefits.
